Cyclones receive two votes in poll; ticket sales update

The USA Today College Basketball Coaches Poll revealed its first poll of the season on Thursday morning. Iowa State received two votes, which equates to a ranking of 43rd to start the season. 

Kansas (6) and Oklahoma State (12) are the only Big 12 teams ranked in the preseason top 25. Baylor (102), Kansas State (3) and Iowa State (2) all received votes as well.

Ticket sales update

Iowa State issued a press release on Wednesday evening that claimed sell-outs for home games vs. Michigan, Iowa and Kansas.

AMES, Iowa – Support for the Iowa State men’s basketball team has never been greater! For the third consecutive year, season tickets have exceeded 10,000. Currently the Iowa State ticket office reports 11,358 season tickets…and counting. A limited number of season tickets are available for purchase, but Cyclone fans should act quickly by calling the ticket office toll free at 888-478-2925 or locally at 515-294-1816.

Beginning at 8 a.m. today, single-game men’s basketball tickets became available. As expected, tickets sold quickly. Tickets are sold out for Michigan (Nov. 1 7), Iowa (Dec. 13) and Kansas (Jan. 13). Additionally, fans wanting to be a part of Hilton Magic for the other games should act now. Very few tickets remain for the Kansas State (Jan. 25) and Oklahoma State (March 8) games.

Single-game tickets may be purchased online, by phone (888-478-2925) or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office.
