AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior Deonte Burton started both games and posted 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game as the Cyclones finished the week 1-1. It is Burton’s third honor since becoming eligible on Dec. 19.

Burton, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native, started the week with his best performance as a Cyclone, scoring 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting at Texas Tech. He also had three rebounds, two blocks and a steal against the Red Raiders. He was also in double figures for the third consecutive game with a 10-point performance versus No. 24 Texas, adding four rebounds, an assist and a block.

Burton shot 56.0 percent from the field on the week, connecting on 14-of-25 from the floor. He is averaging 9.6 points and shooting 54.5 percent since becoming eligible.

Kansas’ Devonte’ Graham was named the Big 12 Player of the Week.
