Fred Hoiberg makes the Final Four

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Since Jan. 6, Iowa State head basketball coach Fred Hoiberg has been a major player in the "Infinity Coaches Charity Challenge."

The premise of the competition is for the top coaches in college basketball to "compete" to raise money for their favorite charities. For obvious reasons, Hoiberg has been competing on behalf of the American Heart Association.

Just this weekend, The Mayor advanced to the Final Four, which raised $15,000 for the American Heart Association. The winning coach will raise $100,000 for the charity of his choice.

Hoiberg is now up against Thad Matta (Ohio State), Gregg Marshall (Wichita State) and Matt Painter (Purdue). Currently, Hoiberg is in a distant fourth place. There are tens of thousands of you who log onto CF every single day. Let’s do a little good, shall we?
