ISU cancels game in Spain because of illness

Iowa State’s vacation/string of four games in Spain was cut short Wednesday after some players came down with a "stomach bug," the men’s basketball team announced on Twitter.

Here’s how the picture of text framed within the Tweet read: "Iowa State’s final game of its foreign tour in Spain has been cancelled after a few eligible players came down with a stomach bug. The Cyclones traveled to Spain with nine players eligible to compete, including just six scholarship players. Iowa State finished the tour with a 2-1 record."

Standout forward Jameel McKay appears to be one of the few stricken by stomach pains. He mentioned being sick on Twitter on multiple occasions in the past 15 hours.

 McKay posted a double-double (25 & 10) in ISU’s second Spain win — an 88-70 triumph over the Barcelona All-Stars.

ISU won two straight games after losing 82-77 to the Venezuelan National Team to kick off the Spain trip.
