Rashad Vaughn trims his list

According to his Twitter feed, Iowa State’s top target in its basketball class of 2014 has trimmed his list to 11. The Cyclones did in fact make the cut.

Rashad Vaughn, who Rivals.com ranks as the seventh-best prospect in college basketball’s class of 2014, narrowed his list down to: Kentucky, North Carolina, Baylor, UConn, Kansas, UNLV, Arizona, Georgetown, UCLA, Minnesota and Iowa State (in no particular order).

Vaughn, who recent announced that he’d play for Findley Prep in Las Vegas next season, has visited Iowa State numerous times.

Analysis

Well it’s better be on this list than not.

Still, if you narrow your list down to 11 schools, can we really consider that narrowing it?

Apparently so, as this article is on our front page right now and will probably receive more pageviews than anything we’ve published during the month of July.

Take this "news" for what it is. Iowa State made the next cut to potentially land what would be the most prized basketball recruiting in school history. But there is a long ways to go. The competition to land Vaughn is obviously fierce (just look at that list) and the fact is, he’ll probably make his decision sometime in the spring.
