Here’s an interesting twist to Hoiberg Watch 2015.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg actually interviewed with the Magic earlier this offseason. That’s according to a report published by Magic beat writer Josh Robbins on Friday evening.
The Magic hired Scott Skiles to be its next head coach on Friday afternoon.
Rumors have been swirling about Hoiberg’s future for weeks and at this point, all indications point to "The Mayor" becoming the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls, who fired Tom Thibodeau on Thursday.
