Cyclone women fall in Iowa City

For the fourth consecutive time in Iowa City, the Iowa State women’s basketball lost to Iowa on Thursday night by a score of 76-67. 

 Iowa State (5-2) was led by sophomore guard Jadda Buckley, who finished with 25 points on the night. Junior Kidd Blaskowsky, 11 points and senior Nikki Moody, 12 points, were the other two Cyclones that finished in double-figures.

 The Cyclones shot just 36 percent from the floor and finished 8-29 from 3-point range. On the flip side, the Hawkeyes shot 43 percent and finished 10-25 from behind the arc.

Iowa now leads the all-time series 24-21. 

 The Cyclones will be back in action Sunday, Dec. 14, at noon when they take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Hilton Coliseum.
