WBB: Cyclones drop second straight, fifth of last six

The Iowa State women’s basketball team (15-9, 6-7 Big 12) lost its second consecutive game and for fifth time in their last six games on Saturday. The Cyclones fell 60-48 to Oklahoma State (16-8, 6-7 Big 12) in Stillwater.

Senior point guard Nikki Moody scored 14 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Cyclones, while seniors Brynn Williamson and Fallon Ellis each added 11 points to round out the Cyclones scoring in double-figures.

Iowa State’s offensive struggles continued as they shot just 26 percent from the field and finished 6-of-25 from behind the 3-point arc.

The Cyclones will look to bounce back when they host the Oklahoma Sooners, who enter the game in second-place in the Big 12 standings. The Cyclones currently sit in a three-way tie for third-place with Oklahoma State and TCU with five games remaining.
