The Iowa State women’s basketball team (15-8, 6-6 Big 12) lost for the third time in their last four games on Wednesday when they fell 71-58 to Texas Tech (14-10, 4-8 Big 12) in Lubbock.

Freshman center Bryanna Fernstrom led ISU with 19 points and six rebounds.

Senior point guard Nikki Moody was the only other Cyclone in double figures with 17 points, including shooting 9 of 10 from the free throw line. She also added five assists, five rebounds and three steals.

The Cyclones shot just 3 of 19 (15.8 percent) from 3-point range. On the flip side, the Red Raiders knocked down 10 of 22 from behind the arc.

ISU returns to action Saturday when it hits the road again to take on Oklahoma State.
