WBB: Moody taken by San Antonio in WNBA Draft

Nikki Moody became the 13th Iowa State Cyclones women’s basketball player to be drafted into the WNBA on Thursday night when she was selected in the third round, 33rd overall by the San Antonio Stars.

The Dallas native was named an All-American after averaging a career-high 14.5 points and 6.5 assists per game this past season, leading the Cyclones to their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament.

Moody is the sixth Cyclone in the last 11 seasons to be drafted into the WNBA.
