Austin Narber Cyclone Fanatic Contributor

This is Austin’s second year with Cyclone Fanatic as a college basketball contributor. A lifelong hoops enthusiast, stat geek and casual writer, Austin composes viewer’s guides that give readers a brief look into all of the weekend’s matchups worth tuning in for, complete with analyses and predictions.

Austin graduated from Iowa State University in the Fall of 2011, majoring in Sociology after spending a brief time in the Greenlee School of Journalism. He proclaims writing as his first true love but strives to one day be a radio personality.

Austin, who goes by “Narber” to anyone who knows him well enough, is a native Eastsider, born and bred a Cyclone. He currently works as a project manager for Trilix Marketing Group in downtown Des Moines. In his free time, Narber enjoys running, craft beer-drinking and dredging up basketball statistics that no sane person would ever spend time looking up.

When he isn’t immersed in college hoops, you can find Narber hopelessly rooting on the Minnesota Vikings and Boston Red Sox. He and his brother were in the building for Adrian Peterson’s single-game rushing record and were once kicked out of Fenway Park for signing their names on the iconic Green Monster.
