Football Recruiting

Iowa State will host two significant 2014 football recruiting prospects on unofficial visits this weekend.

That's according to on of three 2014 Cyclone commits, wide receiver Allen Lazard at least. Here is a look.

"Heard @elmore2014 and @seonbuchner23 are coming to Ames this weekend for a visit!! Hope you boys enjoy it! #cyclONEnation show some love!!"

--- @elmore2014 is the Twitter account of Gaelin Elmore, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end out of Somerset, Wisc. Rivals.com ranks Elmore as the 19th best tight end in the 2014 class.

According to his profile, Elmore currently holds offers from Nebraska, Michigan State, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Elmore retweeted Lazard so I can only assume that he indeed is visiting Ames.

--- @seanbuchner23 is Sam Seonbuchner, a 6-foot-2 outside linebacker out of Heartland Arrowhead, also in Wisconsin. According to his profile at Rivals.com, Seonbuchner holds offers from Iowa State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Ohio and North Dakota State.

Replacing Otzelberger

*** I've got nothing to "report" today other than the fact that all signs are pointing to former Nebraska head coach Doc Sadler being the man. Stay tuned, although I'm told it could be weeks before anything is officially announced.
