In an offseason full of glass half-empty chatter regarding the 2014 Iowa State football team, Sports Illustrated threw the Cyclones a slider on Thursday morning.
The publication released its bowl projections and sure enough, Iowa State was listed as a Cactus Bowl (formerly the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl) participant on Jan. 2 vs. Oregon State.
