AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football program announced today that Brett Bueker and Adam Potts have joined the Cyclone football staff as assistant strength and conditioning coaches.

/>Bueker spent last season as a graduate assistant for the strength and conditioning staff after earning his degree at Iowa State in 2012. A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Bueker was a co-captain for the 2012 Iowa State football team.

Potts, a native of Canton, Missouri, enters his first season at Iowa State after working with the Lamar strength and conditioning staff during the 2013-14 season. Potts, who graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2010, earned his master’s degree at Missouri State in 2013 where he was a graduate assistant for the Bears strength and conditioning athletics department.

Bueker and Potts join Clayton Oyster and Erich Anthony as fulltime assistants for Director of Football Strength and Conditioning Yancy McKnight.

“Adding Brett and Adam to our staff will improve our strength and conditioning program immensely and it shows that our athletics department is committed to our football operation,” McKnight said. “We have one of the best training facilities in the country and it’s another step in showing our players and recruits how important strength and conditioning is to our program.”
