Blair Kerkhoff is a true sports journalsit. That's the difference between the DM & KC papers. The DM writers always want to write an op-ed sports story - very heavy-handed with their opinions. If you notice, Blair doesn't do that...instead he lets the people he's quoted tell the story for him.
He does an excellent job of covering the Big XII, and I've enjoyed all his articles even when not
ISU related. He doesn't try to sugar-coat any story, and he'll give props where they're due.
It also doesn't suck that KC is in the heart of Big 8 country! Here in KC the Big 10 existis in a far away land that nobody cares about. It's almost as if the Hawks and their ilk don't exist - I love it!
