I understand some people like it, some don't...I just don't find it to be much of a sport...It's more like a sideshow...no one watches for competition. who says "I like to see cars make left turns for 500 laps" No One!...People Go And Watch To See Crashes! Automobiles are cool, but they aren't athletes, and you can say all you want about the drivers and how they have to be in decent shape bcuz they can lose 5-10 lbs a race, but I just think someone who races with their own legs and body rather than with a car is an athlete.
I, personally, just cannot lump nascar in with basketball, football, baseball, wrestling, etc...it's just not the same kind of "sport."
This is the type of year that I wish the FIFA world cup was an annual event rather than every 4 years. I mean COME ON, it's only a month long.
