Also JHudd, whenever I see you post, all I can think of is "Fargo" when the girls are being interviewed by Margie, and they say "I'm from Chaska!!" (In a northern Minnesotan accent.)
I really never notice a stong accent on people around here unless they are 50+ or have moved down from the northern part of the state. Also please do not think of my voice like that, I grew up in Williamsburg/Cedar Rapids and have no accent at all, like all Iowans.
