Re: Tornado Siren... Again.. | |
I think we REALLY need to get them to play those over the JTS speakers...I mean do people really think widespread panic is gonna come from this? This is just another small thing that a city that really cares about its sports teams would be fine with. I really think if Ames and its community can't get something done with the tornado siren when A LOT of football fans want to see it implemented for only 6 or 7 saturdays a fall, it just kinda shows how little people care OVERALL about having a winning football team. Don't you think some upper-echelon team would have something like this IF they really wanted to in order to help create an awesome football environment. It's my firm belief that people will just have to be forewarned about it be played on home game days and they will get used to it in time. And if they don't catch on to a tornado siren going off 6 or 7 saturdays during the fall semester - than they are just dumb. And that is definitely a great point about it being played at Mike Jones at 2:30 in the A.M. Correct me if I am wrong, but I was there and don't remember a single thing about there being a cyclone or tornado warning or anything in the area.
