Glad to see a blocked point after - last year was minimal for blocks.

McC was not very happy with that out of bounds kickoff....he said, Son, what the **** are you thinking.
I think on that kick it was toward the end of the first half, and Mac told the kicker to kick it high and toward the sideline because they didn't want to risk a big return to set up an easy score right before halftime.

But you're right on with the rest. If one of those 7 ISU players swarming around that blocked PAT would have just fallen on the ball, the entire game would have been turned around. It looked like they were trying to set up a blocking convoy to run the ball the other way, just couldn't figure out who was going to run it. In that situation, you have to assume that you're not going to be able to run it back 99 yards to the other end zone, just fall on the freaking ball to make sure they don't get to it.

You can already see that the shorter kickoff tee is definitely going to have a dramatic impact on all the games this year. Coverage has to be better. Average starting field position had to be about 30-35 yard line.
