Yes Dan courted the media fanatically, and has many friends there, but to say that it would be difficult to acheive the results he did here is selling this university, and their fans, short.
Look at what was left, not a hell of a playmakers, and predictions of doom and gloom are not difficult to understand.
However, the biggest thing is that all that has been said over the years, by previous coach's is how tough it is to recruit to Ames, IA. No doubt that is true, but I think that we will see the power of not accepting losing, and failure. It may take a bit, but it will happen.
