Exclamation Important CF Feedback Needed

Important CF Feedback Needed

Our current hosting company is changing ownership and consequently the price for our dedicated server will be increasing by about 50% a month. As it is right now with ads & donations, we're breaking even so the increase could really throw some kinks into things as I've already invested personal money towards other features and enhancements for the site.
I've got two options at this point; 1 - pay the increased fee that would make the site somewhat of a hindrance for me as I have some other expenditures right now (aka buying a new house) or 2 - move to a new hosting company.

The new hosting company route wouldn't be bad because I already have something in mind that would actually give us the latest Quad Core machine for the same price we're paying now, allowing us to be more stable and give us more room for growth. The only downside would be the site would be down for a couple hours some weekend and a few issues could always arise for a few days, however, I already have measures in place to get around the IP address issues we've had in the past. We would also finally get rid of some issues we're currently having where several Qwest customers can't access CF due to IP conflicts at the current host.

So I guess what it boils down to is; the new hosting company is a pretty premium company with the best support and bandwidth in the industry so it would mean a long-term commitment to keeping CF growing and thriving. If the community believes that can happen, I'll take the plunge. If that's not possible, then I have to look for other options.

Any feedback?

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
