Yes, I have the right forum for this topic. It concerns basketball. I realize that he was recruited for football, but I think he should play the sport he is best at. If that turns out to be basketball, then I think he should concentrate on that.
I think a reasonable argument could be made that we very well could have won a national championship in
MBB in 2000 if Andy Stensrud had concentrated entirely on basketball. If we'd had him, even off the bench, in that infamous Michigan State game to spell Fizer for a bit, and take up space in the paint, we could have won that game, and I don't think the other teams could have beaten us. Instead, he played football, and sustained some some of injury that wouldn't allow him to play basketball.
Now, I don't see us getting into a critical situation like that again, but if there is a chance Sed Johnson could help us more in basketball than football, then I think he should.
