I thought I remember Jamie commenting on this in the past. He said adding baseball would be a possibility when/if it is financailly feasible. I thought he gave a timeline of around 10 years or so. He also stated that it wasn't a Tittle IX issue and that he could add the men's sport without needing to add a female sport.
Part of the long-term facilities master plan includes building a new track, softball stadium,
& "possibly" a new baseball stadium accross from JTS where the intramural softball diamonds are located adding to the entrance to Iowa State University.
It has been a while since I heard/read this though.

That would be pretty sweet. And I think it would look better than our competitors in the Big 12. Baylor has a nice baseball stadium and it sits on the same road as the basketball arena and other complexes. UT has the baseball stadium right across the road (albeit I-35) from DKR. Both places are full of traffic.
Seeing a brand new Iowa State stadium coming north up University Blvd right across from JT would look pretty boss, IMO.
