Because I've spoken with
a lot of people who were at the game, and it was a small minority, but a loud minority. 1,000 people booing sounds like a lot.
And why wouldn't the fans leave early? Trailing WMU by 11 at home is a good reason to say goodbye. I've seen certain fan bases leave much earlier at similar deficits.
