Kilkenny was a major UO booster with no degree, who SOMEHOW ended up as the school's AD (wink wink). He and Phil Knight are tight.

Oregon is dropping wrestling while adding baseball and competitive cheerleading. You tell me THAT decision didn't come from Nike. Those two sports will cost the university more money than wrestling did.

However, Nike realizes that they can unload WAY more baseball and cheer equipment/gear/accessories than wrestling stuff. (Mostly, because their wrestling products are junk compared to Asics, Cliff Keen, etc.) And why shouldn't they have their guinea pig school trotting out the newest lines in each sport every year?
