30 other coaches probably would have taped plays too if they thought they could get away with it.
Did I say it made him different from most or all coaches? I don't think so.

I was purely responding to a previous post that insinuated that Belichick was somehow virtuous with the comment that "Bellichick could make him walk a straight line."

Belichick wants his players performing on the field...I'm sure that he doesn't distribute the performance enhancing drugs himself, but make no mistake, he really doesn't care how Rodney Harrison has done his rehab (ie: with the help of HGH) as long as he is on the field making plays as soon as possible.

As for spygate, as I understand it, all teams were warned privately that this was unacceptable and would not be tolerated (I assume many, if not all, had been doing it in some form or fashion). Belichick continued to do it after being warned and was turned in during the 2006 season...again he was privately told to cease and desist. But he did not and this past season (2007), when he was caught again, they finally handed down some consequences to him and the Pats. As I see it, the difference is that everyone else quit doing it when they were told not to whereas the Pats kept doing it after multiple warnings.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
