No reason not to realize that a win is a possibilty.
Okie State went JUCO this year and got some good defensive help in a pretty good recruting class. Fact remains we still haven't won a road game of any kind since 2005 (A&M).
I'm with 22. Being a "Fanatic" doesn't mean being blinded. I still think we might be scary good in a couple of years, but it's still too soon, particularly with unproven QB's (Arnaud did look real good at times last year, though), no major returners at WR, and the loss of two linebackers and a draft-calibur DT. If thinking we're going to do well just because of who we play makes a "Fanatic", we should concede the title to the Hawk fans right now (where no Michigan or OSU means "Big 10 Championship"... or better)
Maybe my optimism is still stranded in Dallas with all the other poor souls who had American flights this week and weren't as lucky as I was. I think two days in an airport followed by two hours of sleep, a four hour drive, and an exam immediately upon arrival in Ames (plus another one tomorrow) has taken it all out of me today. On that note, I think it's time for a nap.
