Wrestler Mike Zadick, the strength coach for Iowa’s NCAA champion program, has been given a public warning by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency after testing positive for a prohibited drug.
Zadick tested positive for triamcinolone acetonide at the Pan Am Championships in March.
Zadick won a Pan Am bronze medal, but that finish was overturned as part of the warning.
The agency said the drug, used to treat skin conditions, is prohibited under international rules and Zadick did not get an exemption, even though it was prescribed by a doctor.
Zadick, a silver medalist at the 2006 world championships, was a three-time all-American for Iowa.
