How has my logic sickened you? When did I
ever say it was right? I haven't. I don't care if he gets fired - if what he did is deemed punishable by losing his job, I would agree 100%.
My point (and comparison) is just pointing out that those who are casting stones are living in a glass house. It's pot calling the kettle black.
ISU had a player taking illegal substances, and then when a guy at Iowa does the same thing, it's "the culture over there".
The run-ins with the football team have sickened all Iowa fans. I have no idea why these players went psycho, but I've got news for you - the culture/atmosphere in Iowa City is no worse than it is in other liberal college cities. Their problems had less to do with the culture, and more to do with messed up personalities.
Blame the culture all you want - that's cool. I'm going to blame the people involved, because I like to think that people are capable of making mature and informed decisions, and don't
have to be influenced by what others are doing.
