Cyclones Shatter Personal Records In Arizona

TEMPE, Ariz. – Six Iowa State track and field squad members ran personal best times this weekend at the Sun Angel Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. Junior Derron Montgomery also hit the 400-meter dash NCAA qualifying mark of 47.20 by clocking an impressive 47.04.

Eric Parker ran 14.91 in the 110-meter hurdles to beat out his best time of 15:00. Ines Fischer set a career best in the women’s 800-meter run, with a time of 2:15.57. Junior Leia Jackson earned two personal best’s in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash sprinting to a time of 12.47 in the 100-meter dash and 25.56 in the 200-meter dash.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
