Reasonable accomendation - Canadian style

The strange legal ramifications that accompany "reasonable accomendation" have spilled over into Canada.

A McDonalds restaurant worker was found to have the "right" to not wash her hands before handling food.

The restaurant worker had a skin condition. Her own doctor said she couldn't work in a restaurant with the condition. Canada's legal system ruled that McDonald's still had to accommodate her disability -- and found there was no correlation between hand-washing and the prevention of spreading germs.

She was awarded $55,000 by the court.
