I'll warn you that it can be tough, I've been helping the smoke free Iowa cause for three years now and we finally got this pushed through (mind you there has been consistant support from a vast majority of Iowans to pass this.) I'm guessing that a ban of charcol grills and cars in tailgate lots probably won't poll as well, but we won't know until there is one.
I wouldn't say that the vast majority of Iowans agree with this, I would say that the majority just doesn't care (smoker or nonsmoker), have more important things to worry about, and that their pursuit of happiness wasn't infringed upon by some guy smoking in his car....buts thats just IMO. The majority of the blue collar class could care less or would be against the ban, but they are not as vocal.
