I don't think expecting 8 wins or so is unreasonable. Beating Maine, FIU, ISU, UW, Purdue, NU, Minnesota, and IU isn't asking too much. Could they lose one? Sure. Could they lose two of those games? Absolutely. Do I expect it? No. I don't see the problem with expecting to beat average opponents. I think predicting a win against an average team when your team is average or maybe even below average is a little arrogant. Iowa, at best, is an average team.
