AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly and former women’s golf standout Beth Bader will be inducted into the Quad-City Sports Hall of Fame on Wednesday. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place as a part of the Quad-City Times’ 27th annual Salute to Sports.
Fennelly, a Davenport, Iowa, native and Bader, a native of Eldridge, Iowa, have each made a name for themselves both inside and outside of the Iowa state borders.
Wrapping up his 13th season at the helm of the Iowa State women’s basketball program, Fennelly has led the Cyclones to 11 postseason appearances, including nine NCAA Tournament berths. He has compiled a career record of 446-185 in 20 seasons at Toledo and Iowa State, ranking him 21st among active winningest coaches with a .707 winning percentage.
