What do you think, if he were interested, should we welcome in another SEC transfer? Yeah, I know the kid's had troubles, but his dad dies in February, and it seems to me really crappy to yank someone's scholarship right after they lose a parent. Plus, in almost every case, when a troubled player transfers, the rest of their career passes without incident at their new school--not only because they know that they are out of chances, but because being dismissed forces them to grow up. In Pderrilloux's case, I can't help but think that the loss of his father, once he works through the grief, will add a new-found maturity as well.
Give me a minute, and if I figure out how, I'll add a poll. I'm all for second chances, but I would dispute the bolded part. I think that their chances to continue on without incident is 50/50 at best. I would support him coming if he were placed under strict guidelines. |
