Why mess with the team like that??? Say if Bates wins the job this year. Then Perrilloux comes in and plays a year, who says Bates doesn't take off. He wouldn't want to redshirt. Be in his shoes. Then where do we go from there??
Not a good coaching decision... Not at all. I love talent and we need it, but this kid does have a history.

This guy has had multiple chances at LSU. SH you hit the nail on the head. Chizik can't bring him in after all his problems and still seem like a disaplined coach like he is establishing. We might as well bring Berryman back (which I know isn't possible) along with others that have been kicked off the team.
No need for the coach to develop a double standard. He's already had a second and third chance at LSU.
Also, how does anyone know he is better then Keller??? Did he play last year? Or are you on the sidelines watching practice down there.
