Qualify this please. I had no idea that Illinois and MSU were
leagues better than
ISU. I'm not an engineer so help me understand this.
As far as academics determining where top D-I recruits go I'd guess it's quite rare. If they're really bright kids they could go to a serviceable college, kick a$$, and get into a great grad program most anywhere ( not doing your undergrad at MIT so that you can play varsity football in a BCS conference is a pretty good excuse) and if they're
really good they go pro.
