And the reason that Hawk fans are concerned about your nice little stadium project is that this is probably going to be using some of the money from the GRV (General Revenue Fund). Many people don't see the logic in significantly expanding the stadium when you fail to routinely sell-out games. This is not just an
ISU issue since
ISU's Athletic Department is not fully self sufficient they rely on state money as a source of income. Therefore this is a state of Iowa issue, we all have a right to our opinion about how our tax money is spent.
That is one thing that Bob Bowlsby did at Iowa (besides being an arrogant @$$) that he deserves alot of props for. It was his goal to make the program self sufficient and he accomplished that. I really hope for
ISU's sake they will be able to do the same thing in the future.

Like a poster before me intimated, we routinely sell 46,000 tickets, and the "expansion" isn't really resulting in more admission, it's just turning grass into "seats". Which will result in more income, imo.
