Who are the college football powerhouses? . I guess we could all agree, USC, Flordia, Notre Dame, ALabama, Michegan, Texas, OSU, Nebraska.
WHY, because of something called TRADITION. How did those teams get that tradition? by beating everyone for years on end. so again...why doesn't Iowa's tradition over
ISU's count in this case? IT DOES AND ALWAYS will when it comes to ANYONE outside of Iowa. Bottom line, you go to any other state in the U.S. and say Iowa and if they are football fan, my guess is 9 times out 10 they will say "hawkeye's" over "cyclone" why....tradition. simple as that. we can debate until our eye's go blind about who is better the last couple of years, you guy's have our NUMBER (no, not 665 or 667) but you guy's beat us, good job. but until you beat us year in and year out and take over that overall record, writers around the U.S. look at the overall record.
We're not saying out tradition is better than yours (please point out anyone who has) we're saying we're better than Iowa in sports at the moment (as we have clearly shown this past year).
Edit: Tradition doesn't win you football games btw, just ask Miami, ND, Minnesota (6 nat champs, 18 big ten champs), Nebraska, and UCLA.
