A lot of Hawk fans think he did that billboard to **** them off. He did it for the Cyclone fans in the Cedar Rapids area. He unveiled his plans and displayed a scaled version of it at the annual banquet in Cedar Rapids. I honestly don't think he anticipated the magnitude of reaction it got. How could he have? It's been two years ago and people are still talking about it.
And Hawk fans think that, because they are, as a fan base, immature, ego-centric jerks.
And its not the minority of them, either. They are, as a class, class-less.
