FWIW, Iowa played 6 teams with winning records, ISU played 5. 4 of Iowa's teams that had losing records came in the OOC. Take that as you will, but that looks to me that the main reason Iowa is sitting so low in SOS is the extremely weak OOC schedule.

Just to head this off - yes, Iowa split the weak OOC schedule, etc...

The point is, trying to claim that the Big Ten is the reason Iowa's SOS is so weak is a very weak argument.
Slightly? It's much worse.

Before the season SOS don't mean much. We all know Iowa's schedule is and has been a joke these past few years and ISU's has been a top 20 schedule for the last couple. But hey when they go 7-5 with a January bowl game they are way better than us right? ........... Right?
