I think we can all agree that neither
ISU or UI fans have a program where they want it it be right now. As much as it pains me to say it - UI has had a much better history than
ISU and I think they should expect more because of it. I hope
ISU can make some noise in the near future, but I'm not holding my breath for us to be kings of the Big XII.
I think there is very good hope for
ISU to become the next Missouri. And I agree with what you are saying - the history (and this isn't meant to brag) is a little different between the two schools.
While it's unreasonable to expect National Championships, I don't think expecting conference championships ever 3-4 years is asking too much.
