Because controversy sells, and you don't have to support your "facts" when you just spout generalities like Tirrell does.

I listened for about 2 minutes today until Tirrell bagged on "every sports team in Iowa" by saying he "has personally experienced" fans of every team yelling F bombs, C-bombs and being generally degrading to women.

In my 15 years of being a season ticket holder, I can tell you if anything like that took place in my section the culprit would be summarily escorted out of the stadium.

He's still an East Coast shock jock just trying to fit into the Midwest, and although I don't dislike Miller, all he wants to talk about is hockey and horse racing, which don't interest me and don't really sell well in Iowa

Mind the gap!
