As a Cards fan, it will be quite strange watching Edmonds in a Cubs uniform. He will struggle in every game, except against the Cards, when he will hit 3 home runs every time and rob our hitters of at least one home run of our own each time.
Actually, his defense was never what many novice baseball fans thought it was. Edmonds can turn a routine "can of corn" into the Willie Mays over-the-shoulder catch in the 1954 World Series faster than anyone in baseball. He is an arrogant show-boating player that many other players do not like.
