About Pie, here is an alarming stat they displayed this weekend. With 2 strikes in the count he is batting .064 with 22 strikeouts. He has no plate discipline right now to be an everyday starter unless you are satisfied with having his defense over his low .200 batting average in the lineup. Johnson has been adequate defensively, possibly made the best catch of the year by any Cubs OF so far with that dive into the wall and his bat has been far superior to Pie's. Edmonds is an expirienced and in a platoon with Johnson should be OK for now even if he is not the player he used to be. Over the past 3 seasons he has a .376 OBP against right handers and that's what he'll probably be used against most with Johnson starting against lefties.
