He's not ready to be an every day big league player and it does him no good to only get about a hand full of at bats a week right now. At least with Edmonds you know what you are getting right now, with Pie you are either going to get a 3 strikeout game or a possible big hit or homer but with him right now the strikeouts are more likely than him coming up with hits.
I understand everyones frustrations with Pie, i'm included in that. I just don't see JE bringing any more than Pie though, thats all I'm really saying. JE is the same 3 K or HR guy as Pie at this point. I do agree that consistent ABs in AAA are req'd for Pie though.
