This is basically impossible for me.

1950s - "Sh-Boom" by the Chords
1960s - "Hey Jude" by the Beatles
1970s - "Baba O'Riley" by the Who
1980s - "This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody)" by the Talking Heads
1990s - "In the Meantime" by Spacehog
2000s - "Abel" by the National

And because it felt like I was choosing between children, I present the 2nd Team:

1950s - "Shout Pt. 2" by the Isley Brothers
1960s - "I Want You Back" by the Jackson Five
1970s - "My Sharona" by the Knack (but only for the guitar solo)
1980s - "In a Big Country" by Big Country
1990s - "Underdogs" by the Coup
2000s - "Beautiful Machine Parts 3-4" by the Apples in Stereo
