It is true that the bulk of CO2 emissions are from the Northern hemisphere. However, CO2 does distribute throughout the world to achieve a natural balance, and the data that I can find says that the Southern hemisphere only lags about 1 or 2 years behind. Since we are in about the second decade of warming, that would suggest that the Southern hemisphere would be 1 or 2 years behind in warming as well, which has not been the case.
