You are right, every inroad we can make in the Cedar Rapids market (& in the eastern half of the state) is a very good thing
I think you may be thinking about the Greg McDermott billboard, "I chose to be a Cyclone, how about you?" There was one above the Petco/Blockbuster area across from Lindale Mall.
As a UNI fan I remember that one very well...
