I'll grant you that UI has a chance to grab some good in-state recruits. Davis and Cotton are almost locks. And Scheelhaus (MO) is a legacy, so they might get him. But reality is that their recruiting has fallen off the past few years and another average year and a coach on the hotseat isn't going to help. It's great for them that it is a good year in-state. Otherwise they'd really be in trouble.

Please tell me about all the guys that KF is "in on". He has made a living off of whiffing on big name recruits. Like it or not, KF right now is going to have to make a living off of players that other Big 11 programs passed on...guys from Ohio and Michigan and Illinois. Not that he can't do it, I still think that he's better coach than Zook or Brewster or Bielema.

BTW, if you don't think iowa "resorted" to inner city Detroit and Cleveland players, why did they sign them? Either there's something wrong with the kids or something wrong with the situation. Which is it?
I should re-phrase. I don't think Iowa "resorted" to the inner-city guys, but I do think that KF got caught up in the hype of signing 5 star athletes that he may have rushed into some iffy players.

I've already given you 4 examples of players that are from out of state but have mentioned at one time or another that they favor Iowa. Marcus Hall is a bit of a stretch, but Scheelhaase, Reed, and etc... from out of state are highly ranked and Iowa leans.

Also, I just thought I would mention, Brad Rogers is projected to be a 3 star running back, not two.

While I don't think he would return to coach he does have a lot of ties to the state and the university.
Exactly

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.
